Toyota flags off ‘Great 4X4 X-pedition’ in Southern India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recently conducted the Great 4×4 X-pedition in South India. The aim of this drive is to increase the engagement of 4×4 enthusiasts and owners. Toyota aims to increase the spirit of adventure in the participants by offering an off-road experience like no other.

Toyota’s Great 4X4 X-pedition : More Details

The main motive for this drive is delivering ‘Mass Happiness’ to the participating members of the 4×4 community.

The Drive commenced from Bangalore and will travel to Hassan and Sakleshpur over a 3 day period. The overall convoy consists of 4×4 vehicles like the Hilux, Fortuner 4×4, LC 300, Hyryder AWD and SUV vehicles of other brands.

Participants will also explore the scenic beauty of the region as well as visit points of historical importance. Toyota has also planned social interventions and activities that will contribute to the restoration of the natural ecosystem.

Off-road activity at the Great 4X4 X-pedition

Apart from the drive, Toyota has also organized a dedicated 4WD track for the participants. This track has both natural and man-made obstacles. Some of the obstacles include articulation, side inclines, rambler, deep ditches, slush, rocky beds amongst others.

More such Great 4×4 X-peditions in the pipeline

This Southern India is the first amongst the many such events planned by Toyota. The Japanese carmaker plans to have 3 more such events pan india. These include the North, East and West regions of the country. Apart from these, Toyota has also confirmed that there will be another mega event for the whole country later this year.

Toyota has added a third shift at the company’s plant in Bidadi, Karnataka. With this move, the car maker expects a 30 percent increase in the production output of the manufacturing unit. It also hopes to create more employment opportunities and reduce the waiting times for delivery of cars.
