New Royal Enfield Meteor 350 spotted testing

Written by Kanad Kalasur

The 350cc motorcycle segment is dominated by Royal Enfield. The Indian bike maker currently has a 90 percent market share in the market. In the month of April 2023, Royal Enfield dispatched over 62,000 units of 350c bikes. That apart, the bike maker is continuously getting newer products and updates despite being a segment leader. Now, we have spy images of the upcoming 2023 Meteor 350.

What’s new in the 2023 Royal Enfield Meteor 350?

The test bike looks to be based on the high-end Supernova variant. It also gets wire spoke rims, an LED headlamp and a silver coloured engine. The LED headlamp will be a first on any Royal Enfield bike.

For the 2023 model year, Royal Enfield is looking at improving the Meteor further by adding some more features to the bike. These are expected to make the Meteor 350 look more retro with a classic styling.

Earlier, the Meteor 350 came with blacked out engine and alloy wheels. Looks like Royal Enfield is now trying to get back the classic appeal using silver or brushed aluminium finished engine and wire spoke rims.

Other elements like the headlight housing too are finished in chrome. There is a new fender and an all new mudguard as well at the front.

Mechanicals are likely to remain the same on the 2023 Meteor 350

In terms of engine, the 2023 Meteor 350 will continue with the 349cc J Series unit. This motor develops 20.2 BHP @ 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox.

This new variant is likely to sell parallelly alongside the existing models. This will offer buyers more choice.

Pricing of the 2023 Royal Enfield Meteor 350

Currently, Royal Enfield has listed the Meteor 350 from INR 2.04 – 2.25 lakh across the range. Thanks to the new updates, we can expect a small hike in these numbers.
