Tata Motors India has unveiled the road-ready production-spec version of the Tata HBX concept. The brand has christened the production model of the HBX, Tata ‘Punch’. The Tata Punch boasts of blending the tough SUV character with a compact footprint vehicle that can easily traverse through the urban jungle. According to Tata, the Punch is designed for the next-generation users giving them the ability to sneak through the busy streets and also drive down the winding, rugged countryside roads for fun on the weekends.
The Tata Punch features a mix of tough utility with sporting dynamics. Underpinning the Punch is the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture that made its debut on the famous Altroz hot-hatch, making good sales numbers. The Punch also comes with Tata’s Impact 2.0 design philosophy. Therefore, the Tata Punch gets a familiar yet fresh design and styling.
The Tata Punch comes with the hallmark Humanity Line that spans across the front fascia on the front. The chrome line sits under the gloss black applique on the front and sleek LED daytime running lights. The front apron forms an X-shape reverberating with the HBX concept design. The apron also features a tri-arrow design on the radiator grille, along with a rugged black plastic bumper that features two rounded fog lights. The micro-SUV, like its big brother, comes with front bumper mounted headlamps. Depending on the model, the Punch will come with projector lights on the headlamp cluster.
On the sides, the Tata Punch features trapezoidal wheel arches that house chunky machine-finish dual-tone alloy wheels. The micro-SUV comes with flared wheel arches that give the car a muscular appearance. The doors feature large claddings, and the rear door features window-mounted door handles. The Punch also comes with a white finish roofline, white finish ORVMs, roof rails and wraparound taillamps. The rugged SUV also comes with black plastic cladding all around the car.
Tata has announced that the Tata Punch will make its market debut in the coming festive season.
