Tata Safari & Harrier get XTA+ variant with sunroof & 6-speed automatic

Tata has just launched the new XTA+ variants on the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari in India. The new variants will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a panoramic sunroof. The new XTA+ variant on the Harrier and the Safari will enhance the customer’s choice and boost sales on the SUV portfolio.

Tata Harrier and Safari XTA+ Variant – Price

Tata Motors has announced that the Tata Harrier XTA+ will come with a price tag of INR 19.14 lakh ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Harrier XTA+ Dark will come with a sticker price of 19.34 lakh ex-showroom. The Tata Safari XTA+ will come with a price tag of INR 20.08 lakh ex-showroom. Both the Harrier and Safari are currently leading the high SUV segment with a market share of 41.2% as of Q1-FY2022. The brand believes that the XTA+ variants will add more “dynamism” to the portfolio and strengthen its line-up.

Tata Harrier and Safari XTA+ Variant – Top Features

Both the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari come with a sunroof and automatic transmission on the XTA+ variant. The SUVs also come with dual function LED DRLS and projector headlamps. The XTA+ trim also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and wide rubber tyres. On the inside, the SUV gets a floating island 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 8 Speakers. The infotainment system also comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Comfort and convenience features include push-button start, fully automatic temperature control, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

Tata Harrier and Safari XTA+ Variant – Engine Specifications

Powering the Harrier and the Safari is an FCA-derived 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. The motor produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. On the XTA+ variant, the engine is paired to a 6-speed torque converter type automatic. Depending on the model, the engine is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission. 

Tata Harrier and Safari XTA+ Variant – Safety

The SUVs are built on the OMEGARC platform derived from Land Rover D8 platform. In addition to this, the Harrier and Safari XTA+ come with Dual Front Airbags, an advanced ESP, fog lamps & a reverse parking camera as standard features. The car also comes with cruise control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
