It is no secret that Tata’s EV division is planning new electric cars for the Indian market. The company earlier revealed the CURVV and AVINYA concept cars. The CURVV debuted with the Gen-2 platform while the AVINYA with the Gen-3. Tata Motors has now trademarked four new names, which could be for the upcoming EVs. The new names are – Styzor, Bovita, Auroar and Xiomara.
Tata Motors will use three different platforms for its EV cars. The strategy will allow the carmaker to cover all the bases in the EV market space. Hence, the four new names could be cars that will use the Gen-2 or Gen-3 platform. There’s a higher chance that these names will be for the cars based on the Gen-2 platform, but there’s no confirmation. Furthermore, there’s no confirmation or clarity if these names will be for an EV or an ICE-powered vehicle. However, we believe there’s a higher chance of Tata using them for EVs since it plans to launch 10 EVs by 2026.
The production versions of the CURVV and AVINYA concepts will expectedly enter the market within three years. There are also rumours going on about an all-electric Sierra SUV. Though, there has been no confirmation from Tata about it.
Tata Motors recently launched the Nexon EV Max in India. The Nexon EV Max is essentially the long-range version of the regular Nexon EV. However, Tata added additional features and a distinctive new colour option to make it stand out. The EV SUV offers a larger battery which helps it achieve an ARAI-certified range of 437 km. Pricing for the new variant starts at INR 18.74 lakh ex-showroom and tops out at INR 19.24 lakh ex-showroom. Follow the link below to watch and read our in-depth review of the new Nexon EV Max.
