Tata Motors and Amazon have worked together to offer the Alexa voice assistance service to its range of SUVs. Owners of the Nexon, Nexon.EV, Harrier and Safari will be able to use the Alexa assistance.
The built-in Alexa voice assistant will allow users to manage some functions in the car using voice commands. Some of these include changing the cabin temperature, adjust AC flow, dim or brighten the screen, open/close sunroof and also activation of the 360-degree camera.
Further, the Alexa voice assistant will also allow the car users to stream music or tune in to audiobooks from Audible, listen to jokes, play games and even listen to Shayaris. Alexa can also be used for the purposes of navigation, check road or traffic conditions, handle calls, work on To-Do or other lists, reminders or even listen to news. Alexa will also help users to shop on Amazon.
Tata is offering a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment on the new Nexon and Nexon.EV. Meanwhile, the Safari and Harrier get the larger 12.3-inch infotainment units.
While the Nexon facelift is overall an evolution of the vehicle, Tata has significantly worked on both the interiors and exteriors. On the outside, the design is inspired from the Curvv concept. Many elements like the new fascia, slim grille, split headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs are incorporated based on the concept.
The main beam lights are positioned in the bumper. Towards the back, Tata has extensively tweaked the rear design. The Nexon facelift comes with new LED tail lamps and these are connected by an LED light bar as well. The SUV rides on new dual-tone alloys.
On the inside, there is similarity with the Curvv Concept as well. There is a minimalist dashboard with an infotainment system and limited physical buttons. The driver gets a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the middle. There is a digital instrument cluster as well.
