Tata Motors launches extended range Tigor EV for INR 9.44 lakh

Tata Motors has launched an extended range version of the Tigor EV compact-sedan in India targeted towards the Government officials and fleet operators. The updated Tigor EV has been priced at INR 9.44 lakh ex-showroom Delhi after having reduced all the necessary government subsidies. The extended range Tigor EV will be sold in XE+, XM+ & XT+ variants.

Tata Motors reveals that the revised range for the Tigor EV is 213 km, as certified by ARAI. The car comes with a 21.5 kWh battery back which is offering a longer driving range. The updated model also gets a new battery cooling system which has been designed in order to allow the engine to deliver consistent performance even in extereme weather conditions. The Tigor EV comes with a fast charging as well as slow charging AC port. The Tigor EV comes with ‘Drive’ & ‘Sport’ driving modes.

Tata Motors will be equipping the Tigor EV with dual front airbags on all variants except the XE+ which only gets a driver airbag. Other safety features include ABS, parking sensors, speed alert system, etc. which are now mandatory.

Tata Motors is offering a 3 year / 1.25 lakh km warranty for the Tigor EV. This new Tigor EV meets the FAME II incentives for commercial application in India.

Other features on this model include EV decals, new front grille, new alloy wheel design, sharkfin antenna, LED stop lamp, black & grey interiors, Harman audio system, height adjustable seat, fabric seats, single-speed gearbox and exterior paint options of blue, white and silver.
