Tata Motors dispatches 600,000th Nexon SUV

Tata Motors has achieved a remarkable milestone by rolling out the 600,000th unit of its popular compact SUV, the Nexon, from its Ranjangaon facility in Pune. The Nexon, which was launched in 2017, has been a consistent best-seller in its segment, which also achieved a 15,000 sales mark in December 2023.

Tata Nexon Trims

The Nexon has been popular among Indian consumers with its blend of safety, style, performance, and cutting-edge features. The SUV received a facelift a couple of months ago where the company rejigged its variants as well. It is available in four distinct trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless, catering to a wide spectrum of preferences and budgets. Each trim level offers a unique combination of features and aesthetics, ensuring that there is a Nexon for every type of driver.

ICE Powertrain

The Nexon is powered by either a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine, both of which come paired with either a six-speed manual, an AMT, or a new seven-speed DCT automatic transmission. The Nexon also boasts an impressive suite of safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill hold assist, and LED lamps. The Nexon is priced between ₹8.10 lakh and ₹15.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Electric Powertrain

The Nexon also has an electric variant, the Nexon EV, which is the best-selling electric car in India. The Nexon EV features a next-gen electric motor with new vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities. It offers two range options: 325 km and 465 km, depending on the battery capacity. The Nexon EV is priced between ₹14.74 lakh and ₹19.94 lakh (ex-showroom).
