The new Curvv concept by Tata will soon be coming to a showroom near you. But till that time, the Indian carmaker has revealed few details about the same. The CNG information comes to light after taking a look at the concept design sketches. One of these sketches comes with a climate control panel that has the word CNG written on it.

Tata is going strong on its twin-cylinder CNG tech. This debuted with the Altroz, and is expected to be seen in Tata’s other cars like the Punch, Tiago and Tigor as well. Infact, even the upcoming Nexon facelift is likely to get this twin cylinder CNG implementation.

While the EV version will get a 400-500 km range, the ICE version of the Curvv is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. This direct injection motor is expected to deliver 125 HP and 225 Nm. On CNG, these numbers could be slightly lower. Tata is likely to offer a manual gearbox on the CNG version.

The Curvv will come fully loaded with technology. This includes a 360-degree camera, auto park and dual-zone climate control. Further, the switchgear of the Nexon and the Tata Curvv is expected to be similar. Tata will launch the electric Curvv first in 2024, and follow it up with the ICE version later.

According to Tata Motors, the Curvv merges the toughness and durability of an SUV with a sporty silhouette of a coupe. The brand further adds that this allows it to strike the perfect balance between elegance, performance and practicality. At the front, the Curvv gets a slim upper LED DRL and triangular headlamps which also display an animated welcome feature as one approaches the SUV.
