Tata Altroz iCNG bookings open for INR 21,000

Tata Motors has officially started accepting bookings for the Altroz iCNG variant. One of a kind with dual CNG cylinders in the boot and not compromising on the luggage space, the Altroz iCNG also promises a safer & efficient package. Tata Motors is accepting bookings for the Altroz iCNG for INR 21,000 and this version will be available in XE, XM+, XZ & XZ+ variants. Tata Altroz iCNG will be available in blue, red, grey & white paint options. Tata Motors first showcased the Altroz iCNG at the Auto Expo 2023. Deliveries of the Altroz iCNG variant will begin from May 2023.

Tata Altroz is the only premium hatchback now in the segment which runs on petrol, diesel & CNG option. The Tata Altroz rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20. For the iCNG bi-fuel variants, expect a price premium of INR 35,000 – 50,000 over the standard petrol counterparts.

Tata Altroz iCNG Specifications

Powering the Tata Altroz iCNG is a 1.2L Revotron petrol motor which produces 73.5 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque in CNG mode. Tata Motors will also launch the Punch micro-SUV with the same engine & CNG setup soon. The Altroz iCNG only comes with a manual gearbox option.

This is India’s first hatchback with a twin-cylinder CNG tank option. The Altroz is also one of the safest premium hatchbacks in the segment. Thanks to this unique CNG tank setup with a total water carrying capacity of 60 litres which is placed below the boot floor, customers get a generous boot space for their long drive luggage. The Tata Altroz iCNG comes with a single advanced ECU to offer jerk free shifts between petrol & CNG mode. This variant can also directly start in CNG mode and comes with safety features such as thermal incident protection, gas leak detection & a micro switch which will switch off the car while CNG refuelling. Tata Motors is also offering a 3 year / 100,000 km warranty on the Altroz iCNG.
