Svitch MotoCorp is all prepared to launch its electric motorcycle CSR 762. The company confirmed that the launch would happen sometime in July or August this year.
CSR 762 will get a 3 kW Motor that peaks up to 10 kW at 1300 RPM. Svitch is making use of a PMSM motor that gets support from a central drive system. Driving the motor is a 3.7 kWh Li-ion nickel-manganese-cobalt battery. Svitch aims to provide a sense of luxury, style, and also sustainability with the introduction of CSR 762.
One of the key highlights of the motorcycle is its striking design that will surely turn heads when on the road. The inspiration for the design comes from Gujarat’s Majestic Asiatic Lions. Matching their spirit of pride, power and personality, CSR 762 looks like a promising product. Svitch confirmed that the electric motorcycle is in the certification stage while the internal testing is complete. Svitch has made an immediate impact amongst the customers, especially from the tier-1 cities. With the CSR 762, the EV maker is all set to fulfil the city commute needs of the Indian middle-class automobile demographic.
Being an EV, the performance figure of the CSR 762 is as per the standard. One can ride the CSR 762 for almost 120 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the top speed of the motorcycle is limited to 110 kmph. There are six different riding modes on offer. These are three driving modes, one parking mode, one reverse mode and one sports mode.
As far as the pricing goes, we are looking at somewhere in the range of 1.65 lakh ex-showroom. And if we include all the offered subsidies, one can get the CSR 762 at around INR 1.25 lakh ex-showroom. These figures are tentative as of now and not confirmed. To support the riders with some peace of mind, the company also hopes to spread its wings by installing Battery Swapping Stations.
