Suzuki Motorcycles India plans to double it’s production capacity to 1 million units in the next three years.

Suzuki plans to launch more scooters to capitalise on the fast-moving and fast-growing segment. The Indian two-wheeler industry is a massive 14-million units market, and Suzuki wants a larger market share going forward. Currently, Suzuki has an annual installed capacity of 5.4 lakh units in Manesar, Haryana.

Suzuki has a total of 525 sales outlets as of date, and plans to increase this number to 1,000 by the end of this financial year. Other investment plans will be finalised next year along with a new product strategy for the Indian market.

Right now, Suzuki sells 4 scooters, 5 motorcycles and 7 superbikes in India.
