Stella Moto has launched its first RTO-approved electric scooter – the Buzz at a price of INR 95,000. The scooter is available in four colours – Grey, Matt Blue, Red & Brown and gets a 3-year warranty. The Stella Moto is backed by the Jaidka Group, a company with over 80 years of experience in the Automobile Business.
Design of the Stella Moto Buzz
In terms of design, the Buzz gets a sloping design with a headlight mounted on the handlebars with indicators positioned down below. The front wheel gets a disc brake and twin shock absorbers.
Coming to the side profile, the e-scooter gets a large footboard area and a single piece seat. The footboard extends to the sides, which has space for the pillion’s feet to rest. While one version comes with a backrest, another one gets an integrated grab handle instead.
Features of the Stella Moto Buzz
The scooter rides on tubeless Tyres and gets a ground clearance of 180 mm. This ensures a stress-free ride on bumpy roads.
Other features on the Buzz include Cruise Control, a Digital speedometer, Central Locking, USB Charging for mobile and an anti-theft system.
The electric scooter’s sufficient boot space along with its footboard area can handle a payload of 150 kg, making it suitable for last-mile delivery applications.
Powertrain of the Stella Moto Buzz
The Buzz gets a lithium-iron-phosphate battery (LFP) that is claimed to better handle the Indian conditions. It also gets 4 integrated temperature sensors that cut-off the power at high temperatures. The total capacity of the battery pack is 2.16 kWh. It gets a microprocessor based smart battery management system (BMS).
The rear wheel is driven by a 2 KW BLDC motor that gives the scooter a top speed of 55 km/h. The overall range of the Buzz is said to be over 90 km on a single charge.
