One of India’s upcoming electric bicycle manufacturers, Smartron, has announced the launch of its second-generation tbike OneX e-bike. Priced at INR 38,000, the 2nd gen ebike utilises a multi-modular, multi-purpose, and multi-utility philosophy, primarily targeting delivery markets. Smartron states that its tbike OneX will cater towards the rideshare market along with lifestyle, tourism, e-commerce, e-pharmacies, and e-groceries. The company also commented its future-ready bike offers an easy ride experience thanks to design sensibilities and adaptability towards cargo requirements.
Smartron tbike OneX: Design & Tech
Smartron has ensured to continue its philosophy of Design and Engineering in India to eliminate supply chain and logistics challenges. Therefore, OneX is the first multi-purpose e-bike catering to B2B segments that use Magnesium Alloy wheels and puncture-proof tyres. Along with offering a lifetime warranty on the frame, Smartron has utilised aluminium to design the frame of the e-bike. This enables the tbike OneX to showcase attributes like being lightweight and rust-proof with a 25 kmph top speed.
Meanwhile, the OneX uses a tronX platform in conjunction with the tbike app and tlock that offers various features. These include custom fleet and rider management features that are easily integrated into the existing IT systems of the aforementioned providers. The features facilitate Remote Vehicle Monitoring, Diagnostics, and real-time business intelligence like asset utilisation, battery status, asset location, and remote lock/unlock. Overall, the tbike OneX sports a range of 100+ Km thanks to battery swapping and onboard charging options.
