Skoda Auto has released another teaser image for the upcoming VISION 7S concept car. The new VISION 7S will make have its world premiere on 30th August 2022. It will provide a preview of the Czech automaker’s new design language. Skoda says the new design language will draw inspiration from its traditional values of robustness, functionality and authenticity.
Skoda VISION 7S New Interior Design Teaser – What Do We See?
The new teaser from the Czech automaker shows the dashboard design of the upcoming 7-seater EV. The new interior sketch shows that the dashboard will have a symmetrical, wrap-around design. Skoda says this gives all passengers a sense of security. The instrument panel is flat, wide and extends to the doors, thus, emphasising the width of the interior. The interior sketch also shows that the VISION 7S will feature a large, free-standing touchscreen. Skoda has arranged it vertically, which is a first for the brand.
Skoda says the sketch also highlights its perfectly balanced haptic and virtual interfaces as well as optimal ergonomics. It features a new steering wheel design with vertical spokes. Furthermore, Skoda has flattened the steering wheel at the top and bottom. The brand claims this helps to provide a clear view of the instrument cluster for the driver. Below the central touchscreen display, there are three large haptic rotary controls. Below the haptic rotary controls are two large buttons and a rotating control beneath them, forming a haptic control panel. Skoda has also made special storage compartments below this to dock smartphones.
Skoda VISION 7S Concept Car – What Do We Know?
At its Annual Press Conference 2022, Skoda announced it would introduce a new design language for its upcoming cars. Skoda will preview this with the all-electric VISION 7S concept car. At the Annual Conference in 2022, Skoda showed a blurred image of the exteriors of the SUV. And in July 2022, the brand released the first teaser for the VISION 7S.
The first interior teaser from Skoda showed a minimalist interior design. Furthermore, it showed the generous space available for up to seven passengers. The brand also included some of its signature ‘Simply Clever’ features. These include – an integrated child seat in the centre console and two different interior configurations.
