Ahead of the global debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, Skoda has revealed sketches of the future compact car in the form of Vision RS. To be a part of their sporty RS model range, the new Skoda Vision RS reveals sharp and edgy styling, and this could be a glimpse of the next-generation Skoda Fabia. Will this come to India? We don’t know yet. But Volkswagen has given Skoda the charge to develop and produce new cars for India, and the Fabia could make a comeback in India now that Skoda is heading the game, also because the new Polo has to arrive in our market eventually. So yeah, makes sense…
The Skoda Vision RS concept measures 4356mm in length, 1810mm in width, 1431mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2650mm. With aerodynamics being a major part of vehicle design, the Skoda Vision RS does look sporty, sleek and rather good from every angle for now. Also, this design does justice to carry the RS badge.
Skoda discontinued the Fabia from India because it was ahead of its time in our country. Premium hatchbacks were not really a thing when Skoda launched the Fabia in our market. It was spacious and feature loaded, but no buyer wanted to spend that much money on a small car back then. But now, things have changed and the Skoda Fabia could be the car the brand needs in their portfolio to drive better sales numbers.
