Škoda reveals Enyaq Laurin & Klement with more range & tech features

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Skoda has brought in a new Laurin and Klement (L&K) trim of the all-electric Enyaq SUV and Enyaq Coupe. Skoda has also now dropped the ‘iV’ suffix from the entire Enyaq line-up. With this new L&K variant, we get more range and power. Along with that we also get to see some cosmetic updates and a new software interface.

Skoda Enyaq Powertrain Options

The rear-wheel drive Enyaq L&K 85 now sees its power output increase from 204 HP to 282 HP. The range, too, has increased from 510 km to 570 km. Meanwhile, the Enyaq iV 80x all-wheel drive, which put out 265 HP, now gets a power bump to 282 HP in the L&K 85x variant. Range for the all-wheel drive variants now reads as 550km on the WLTP cycle. This is a significant increase over 460 km offered by the 80x.

As for performance, the Enyaq L&K 85 does the 0 to 100 kmph run in 6.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the 85x does the same sprint in 6.6 seconds. The top speed for both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions max out at 180 kmph, the same as the vRS variant.

Both versions also carry forward the 82kWh battery. Charging time from 10 to 80 per cent comes in under 30 mins using a DC fast charger.

Skoda Enyaq Exterior Design Highlight

To differentiate the L&K variant from others in the line-up, the Enyaq gets some special touches. It benefits from platinum grey inserts on the bumpers, rear diffuser and wing mirrors. We also get to see window surrounds, roof rails and the frame for the grille finished in chrome. As is typical to every L&K model, we see badges on the front fenders as well. The Enyaq L&K also equips LED matrix headlamps and 20-inch alloys as standards, with 21 inches available as an option.

Skoda Enyaq Interior And Features Highlights

Talking of the dashboard design of the Enyaq L&K, it remains unchanged from the regular versions. But we do get to see a new beige or an optional black upholstery. The L&K variants also exclusively get new heating and ventilation functions for the front seats along with a massage function, and a new aluminium finish for the pedals. The infotainment system is a slight upgrade as it gets an improved user interface.

Skoda Enyaq India Launch

As we have previously reported, Enyaq will hit the Indian market by March 2024. It will come in via the CBU route, as Skoda plans to use the Enyaq to test the market.
