Written by Nizam Shaikh

Skoda is offering a massive discount of INR 8 lakhs (approximately) on the brand’s performance model the 2020 Octavia RS245. The Skoda Octavia RS245 made its debut in the Indian market at the 15th edition of the Auto Expo 2020 and Skoda started accepting bookings in March 2020.

Skoda Octavia RS245 Discounts

Skoda imports the performance-oriented premium sedan to the Indian soil via the CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit) route in a limited number of just 200 units. Shortly after commencing bookings, the Skoda Octavia RS245 was sold out but due to the COVID-19 disruption and lockdown, there appears to be a cancellation in bookings and a few units were left unsold. Now dealerships are offering the left-over inventory with a heavy discount. At the time of its launch, the Skoda Octavia RS245 came at the price of INR 35.99 lakh ex-showroom.

Powertrain

Powering the Skoda Octavia RS245 is a Euro5 emission compliant, 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that belts out 245 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The Skoda Octavia RS245 is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 kmph.

Features

The Skoda Octavia RS245 comes loaded with features such as Skoda’s signature vertically slatted grille, larger air intakes, sporty front and rear bumper, sporty side skirts, a boot lip spoiler, a rear diffuser, quadra LED headlamps, LED taillamps, LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, stainless steel exhaust tips, an all-black theme cabin, Alcantara leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front sports seats, virtual cockpit instruments cluster and a flat bottomed sporty steering wheel.

Fourth-Generation Skoda Octavia

Skoda is now planning to launch the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia premium sedan in the Indian market. The brand has already begun production of the fourth-generation model at the Shendra production line in Aurangabad and the first celebratory unit in the Lava Blue shade has already rolled off the manufacturing plant. The fourth-generation Skoda Octavia will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Elantra in the Indian market.
