Skoda India has discreetly hiked the prices of its Kushaq SUV by INR 30,000. Now costing INR 10.79 lakh (ex-showroom), Skoda launched the SUV in June 2021 in 3 trim options. Offered in Active, Ambition, and top-spec Style, Skoda has only hiked the base Active MT variant prices. The Czech automaker recently announced that the Kushaq SUV received over 15,000 bookings in just over four months. Currently, Skoda has scheduled the unveiling of its new mid-size sedan, the Slavia, on November 18th, 2021.
2021 Skoda Kushaq: Detailed Highlights
Being part of the VW’s group India 2.0 project, Skoda uses the globally renowned MQB-A0-IN platform on the Kushaq. The SUV sports two petrol powertrains are offered in 5 colours- Tornado Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Honey Orange, and Brilliant Silver. The 1.0-litre, turbocharged, three-cylinder produces 115 PS and 175 Nm paired to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearboxes.
Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged, four-cylinder produces 150 PS and 250 Nm paired to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG. Measuring 4,225mm in length, 1760mm in width, and 1612mm in height, the Kushaq sports a wheelbase of 2,651mm. For the convenience of its passengers, the SUV features 155mm of ground clearance and 385-litres of boot space. In terms of interior features, the SUV sports a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other connectivity features include built-in navigation and app along with Bluetooth and wireless screen mirroring. Additionally, the SUV sports ventilated front seats, a sunroof, ambient lighting, six airbags, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). For the safety of the drivers and passengers, the SUV features Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Rollover Mitigation, and Multi-Collision Braking (MKB).

The Czech automaker has revealed exterior design sketches of its new upcoming Karoq SUV for the international markets. With a scheduled digital debut on November 30th, 2021, Skoda plans to showcase their future plans based on the revealed designs. Skoda claims that the new Karoq SUV will feature a significant design and technology update.
