Yamaha launches YZF-R15S V3.0 with Unibody Seat at INR 1,57,600

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has launched the ‘Unibody Seat’ variant of its YZF-R15 V3.0 supersport motorcycle in the Indian market. As part of its “The Call of the Blue” campaign, Yamaha has unveiled the new variant to meet customer demand. Yamaha Motor India plans to sell the new YZF-R15S V3 ‘Unibody Seat’ variant alongside the YZF-R15 V4 model.

The brand has a renowned history of introducing innovative products in India which cater to a large fanbase. Its “YZF-R15” brand has achieved a significant milestone by introducing the racing culture in India thanks to its engineering prowess. The technological advancements made on the YZF-R15 V3 will strengthen the brand’s position in the Indian premium super sports segment.

2021 Yamaha YZF-R15S Unibody: Design and Price

Yamaha has priced the new Unibody variant of the YZF-R15 V3 at INR 1,57,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Offered with a new ‘Racing Blue’ colour, the bike features a mix of blue and dark grey bodywork mix. Additionally, the bike sports a blue fuel tank, a grey centre spine, a blue nose, and side fairing on the exterior. Other details include a blue finish on the tail cowl, grey/black belly cowling, a black fender, and black alloy wheels. Yamaha also offers the bike with LED headlamps and taillights along with a silver-capped, black exhaust pipe cover.

2021 Yamaha YZF-R15S Unibody: Technical Specs 

Powering the Unibody R15S V3 is a 155cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve engine producing 18.6 PS of power and 14.1 Nm of torque. The bike is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper assist clutch, preventing rear-wheel lock-ups during aggressive downshifts. Yamaha offers the bike with 41mm conventional telescopic front fork suspension and a linkage-type monocross suspension for ride comfort. The bike sports a 282mm front hydraulic disc brake and a 220mm rear disc brake for braking performance.

2021 Yamaha YZF-R15S Unibody: Features 

Yamaha offers the bike with a host of features, including a Multi-Function LCD Instrument Cluster. Additionally, the bike features a Gear Shift Indicator, Dual Channel ABS, a Side-Stand with an engine cut-off switch. YZF-R15S Unibody’s other features are a Deltabox Frame, Aluminum Swingarm, 140/70-R17 Radial Rear Tire, and a trip-distance indicator.
