Simple One electric scooter production begins in India

Bangalore-based electric vehicle start-up, Simple Energy made headlines with its One Electric Scooter. The EV looks quite radical and also has great figures on the paper. So much so, this scooter was the talk of the industry at the time it was unveiled. Now as confirmed, Simple Energy will launch its much-awaited Simple One electric scooter on 23 May 2023. To keep up with the demand and bookings, the company has already started rolling out this electric scooter from its Shoolagiri facility in Tamil Nadu.

Battery And Range

Simple Energy also mentioned that it is preparing to commence the deliveries of the scooter. Although it is yet to confirm the date for the same. But we do know quite a bit about the scooter from the initial prototype showcased earlier. Simple Energy displayed this prototype model back in 2021. We are aware that it was equipped with a 4.8kWh battery pack and a 4.5kW motor. Later on, the brand confirmed that they have added a third battery pack option for an additional range. With this. The claimed range of the Simple One is an impressive 300km.

Key Features On Offer

The prototype model came equipped with a slew of premium features. This includes full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-enabled colour TFT display, and more. It also gets four riding modes. These are, namely, Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic. Further, the hardware setup of the prototype version got telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. In terms of braking it got disc brakes on both ends, and 12-inch alloys wearing 90/90 front and rear tyres. We believe the final version might retain all these features.

Price Details Of Simple Energy One

Back in 2021, Simple Energy had put on an ex-showroom, Bengaluru price of INR 1.10 lakh for the electric scooter. However, we are expecting the final prices may vary which we will find out at the launch event scheduled on 23 May 2023.
