Bangalore-based electric mobility company, Simple Energy has revealed its development plans on the upcoming electric scooter, Simple One. The brand has also announced that the pre-launch bookings on the Simple One electric scooter will commence on 15th August 2021 in Bangalore.
Phase 1 Launch Plans
In addition to this, the company announced that the e-scooter will launch in Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. This will be followed by other cities in Phase 1. The launch sites will include major cities in Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Andra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhyapradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat, and Punjab respectively. The brand will also open company-owned experience centers in these cities to help commence deliveries.
Simple Energy – Production Plant
Simple Energy has announced that the brand is also working on a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamilnadu. The production plant will have a capacity to manufacture 1 million units in a year.
Simple One – Technical Specifications
Powering the Simple One is a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which claims to return a range of 240 km on a single charge. The e-scooter will come with a long-range of 240 km in Eco mode. This leads us to believe that the Simple One will come with multiple modes. The brand also revealed that the top speed of the electric scooter will be around 100 kmph.
The Simple One electric scooter also comes with a user-removable battery so that the users can recharge the battery at their home or office. Simple Energy also revealed that the e-scooter will come with a mid-drive motor but the company is still tight-lipped about the power output. But, the scooter will be capable of accelerating from 0-50 kmph in just 3.6 seconds.
Simple One – Price
The Simple One e-scooter will come with a price tag between INR 1.10 lakh to INR 1.20 lakh ex-showroom. The electric scooter will also come with features such as a touch screen dashboard, onboard navigation, Bluetooth, etc.
