The new instrument cluster will offer smartphone connectivity, enabling turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and battery status updates. Bajaj has removed the fuel tank-mounted secondary display, streamlining the bike’s interface.
2025 Dominar 400 powertrain and other updates
Under the hood, the Dominar 400 retains its 373.3cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 39.5 bhp and 35 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts.
The update may also introduce ride-by-wire throttle and four riding modes—Road, Sport, Rain, and Off-Road—similar to the Pulsar NS400Z. If confirmed, these features will enhance the bike’s adaptability across different terrains.
Price hike expected?
Bajaj is expected to launch the 2025 Dominar 400 by mid-2025, with a price increase of around INR 3,000 to INR 5,000 over the current INR 2.26 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag. The bike will continue to compete with the Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310, and KTM Duke 390.
Our Thoughts
As someone who loves seeing motorcycles evolve, the updated Dominar 400 feels like a solid upgrade. The new instrument console adds a premium touch, and if Bajaj throws in ride modes, it’ll be a game-changer. Here’s hoping the price hike stays reasonable—because who doesn’t love a feature-packed cruiser at a great value?
