RattanIndia-Revolt, India’s market leader in the electric motorcycle segment, mentions the recent spike in demand. After the subdued period of 2 months because of the 2nd wave of the pandemic, sales have again picked up the pace. Revolt Motors resumed its operations at its plant on 2nd July 2021. The company is currently operational in six cities in India. This includes Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai. Along with this, Revolt India has tied up with Domino’s to provide them with RV300 electric motorcycles. As a part of this partnership, Domino’s will now have electric motorcycles in its delivery fleet. Revolt Motors has ramped up its production to close the gap in the delivery time of new vehicles for its customers.
Revolt Motorcycles Increasingly Getting More Popular
The concept of electric vehicles was merely limited to scooters in the two-wheeler segment a few years back. But, Revolt has completely changed this notion and is now the market leader in the electric motorcycle segment. The current lineup of products includes two models, RV300 and RV400. The excessive demand can be proven by the fact that these motorcycles got sold out within minutes the bookings opened. Revolt sold motorcycles worth INR 50 crore in less than 120 minutes in the first lot of bookings.
Key Features And Attractions
One of the main reasons for the high demand for electric vehicles in the country is the increasing fuel prices. In addition to this, various incentives and subsidies make owning an electric vehicle much cheaper and attractive. Revolt claims that its range of motorcycles has a running cost as low as INR 9 per 100 km. This proves that the maintenance and fuel cost is also much lower than their ICE engine-powered counterparts. Both its motorcycles come with three riding modes – Eco, Normal and Sport. Revolt is also offering its customers a battery swapping facility, which helps in increasing the riding range substantially.
