Renault reveals Mobilize Limo all-electric sedan

Renault has digitally introduced a new electric car under its Mobilize brand. The Mobilize Limo is an all-electric sedan ideal for ride-hailing services such as taxis and private hire vehicles. Unfortunately, the Mobilize Limo all-electric sedan will not be available for sale to individuals. The brand has also announced that the Mobilize Limo all-electric sedan will make its world debut at Munich IAA Mobility 2021 car show in Germany.

The world premiere on the 8th of September will be part of the special day dedicated to Mobilize. The Renault Group and Jiangling Motors Group Co., Ltd (JMCG) have developed the Mobilize Limo under a joint venture. The joint venture harnesses Renault Group’s decade long experience in e-mobility. The brand announced that it will deploy a fleet of 40 Mobilize Limo electric sedans made available throughout Europe starting from the second half of 2022. 

What is Mobilize Limo?

The Mobilize Limo is a 4.67m long four-door sedan with an electric powertrain. The car will be available only on a subscription basis and specifically for taxi drivers and fleet operators. Mobilize will offer the vehicle through specially curated packages and a la carte mobility solutions. The brand reveals that the Mobilize Limo will measure 4670 mm in length, 1830 mm in width, and 1470 mm in height. The Limo comes with a 2750mm wheelbase and 288mm of legroom for back seat passengers. The car will also have a 411-litre large boot space. The brand has maximized the boot space by storing the spare tyre underneath the boot floor panel. 

Mobilize Limo – Powertrain Specifications & Range

Powering the Limo is a 110 kW/150 Hp electric motor that produces 220 Nm of torque. Thanks to the torque electric motor, the sedan can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 9.6 seconds and has a top speed set to 140 kmph. The car comes with three driving modes – Eco, Normal, Sport and three levels of regenerative braking that the driver can choose. The power unit draws power from a 60 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery that provides a driving range of around 450 km on a single charge. The brand reveals that the Limo is compatible with the most common types of AC and DC charging systems. Therefore, users can recharge the car Wallbox-type home setups, regular power outlets and fast chargers. 

Mobilize Limo – Features

The Mobilize Limo comes with features such as full-LED lights and a 12.3-inch centrally mounted touchscreen infotainment system. The driver also gets a 10.25-inch screen for the instrument panel. The Mobilize Limo comes with three colour options – Metallic Black, Metallic Grey and Glossy White. The brand also offers 17-inch smoke-finish lacquered aluminium rims and Mobilize logoMobilize front and rear as well as specific ‘Mobilize LimoMobilizeng behind the ORVMs. Also on offer are flush door handles that unfold when the car is unlocked.

Mobilize Limo – ADAS and Safety Features

The car also gets an extensive list of ADAS features such as Adaptative Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Deviation Warning. Safety features also include Blind Spot Detection, Front Collision Warning, Pedestrian Collision Warning and Advanced Emergency Braking. The Mobilize Limo also comes with Traffic Sign Recognition, front and rear parking radar, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Alarm and Around View Monitor (AVM). The brand also offers eight airbags on the car fitted as standard.
