Renault has launched the all-new BS6 compliant 1.3L Turbo Petrol engine on the Renault Duster SUV at the price starting INR 10.49 lakh ex-showroom available in manual and CVT automatic gearbox options spread over 5 variant trims. With the new 1.3-litre Turbo-Petrol engine the Renault Duster claims to be the most powerful SUV in the segment.
The new 1.3-litre Turbo-Petrol unit is an advanced, high-power, Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) Dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT), BS6 compliant engine that offers best-in-class power of 156PS @ 5500 rpm and 254 Nm of torque @1600 rpm. The turbo-petrol engine claims to deliver a fuel efficiency of 16.5 kmpl in manual transmission and 16.42 kmpl in the CVT version.
The 1.3-litre Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection with Dual VVT is matched to a 6-speed manual transmission and an X-Tronic 7-step CVT gearbox. The direct injection system along with the variable valve system ensures high fuel efficiency along with reduced exhaust gas emissions and higher low-end torque.
On the exterior, the Renault Duster remains identical to the BS6 compliant version that was launched a few months ago. But the turbo petrol model is distinguished by the Crimson Red accents on the Front Grille, Tail Gate, Roof Rails & Fog lamp covers. The Renault Duster also features a tri-winged full chrome grille, signature projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, dual-tone body colour front bumper which features muscular skid plates, all-new R17 Forza Diamond Cut alloy wheels, kayak roof rails, body-coloured ORVMs, matte black tailgate embellisher and waterfall LED tail lamps.
On the inside, the new Duster now comes with remote Pre-Cooling function which allows the customers to switch on the engine and start the air conditioning even before entering the car with the key fob, Midnight black interiors on the cabin, blue glazed seats, ice blue graphic instrument cluster with multi-information display, control mounted steering wheel, dual-tone centre fascia with a soft-touch dashboard, 17.64-cm touchscreen MediaNAV Evolution touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto navigation, ARKAMYS tuned audio system with 4 speakers and 2 front tweeters, fully automatic climate control and automatic engine start/stop function.
