Porsche is planning to launch the Macan facelift in the Indian market. The brand has listed the Macan range on the official Indian website displaying all three variants. Upon its launch, Porsche will offer the premium SUV in three trims – Macan, Macan S and Macan GTS. The brand recently updated the Macan in the international market, tweaking the exteriors, interiors as well as powertrains.
Porsche Macan – Exteriors
The Porsche Macan comes with subtle updates to the exteriors which include a new LED headlamp cluster. The brand now offers the LED headlamps as standard on all models. Porsche has also tweaked the radiator grille on the new Macan which features horizontal slots along with a knurled pattern. The grille is flanked by large air intakes to the sides aiding in the thermodynamic efficiency of the powertrain and brakes.
The Porsche Macan also features a wide air dam and a sloping bonnet. The Macan also features a progressive roofline and black door claddings with a knurled finish. The rear of the SUV features a wraparound taillamp, that encompasses the entire haunch. The car also gets a sharply raked rear windshield and a re-developed rear apron with a black diffuser.
Porsche Macan – Interiors
Porsche has heavily updated the cabin of the Macan which now draws inspiration from the Porsche Cayenne and Panamera. The SUV features a multilayered dashboard with a three-point steering wheel with controls mounted on it. The Macan also features a new 10.9-inch central infotainment system and a bridge-like centre console. The centre console features new touch-sensitive controls making the interiors clutter-free. The brand has also added the latest generation Porsche Communication Management on the infotainment along with a voice command function.
Porsche Macan – Powertrain
Powering the Porsche Macan facelift is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The engine produces 265 PS of power allowing a sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds. The Macan S comes with a 2.9-litre V6 Biturbo engine that produces 380 PS of power. The top-spec Macan GTS also comes with a 2.9-litre V6 Biturbo engine but produces 440 PS of power.
