Pioneer launched its Hi-Res Special Edition Speakers for the Indian market. These speakers are designed by Pioneer’s audio engineers in Japan and have been specially tuned in favour of the tastes of Indian consumers. Pioneer mentioned that these speakers deliver rich and realistic sound quality, thus enhancing the in-car audio experience. With these speakers, Pioneer wants to set itself as the benchmark in the market.
Pioneer TS-VR170C
This speaker makes use of the new ‘Pioneer Flagship Sound’ concept. This aims to deliver a realistic audio experience replicating the sound from the musician’s voice and instrument. One of the key highlights of this speaker is Pioneer’s signature ‘Takumi’ craftsmanship. The TS-VR170C’s tweeter uses a 25mm ‘Dual Arc Ring’ aluminium diaphragm, which can reproduce frequencies up to 65kHz. The woofer of this speaker gets a dual-layer carbon fibre cone. This is further supported by a high-performance, space-efficient square wire voice coil and a strong aluminium die-cast basket. Pioneer is also taking care of the uniformity of the reproduction of the frequencies. To aid this, they are using thicker coils, premium-grade film capacitors, and gold-plated terminals.
Pioneer TS-V170C and TS-J170C
This set of speakers is based on Pioneer’s renowned Z-Series speakers. The TS-V170C makes use of an aluminium tweeter diaphragm, Harmonized Synthetic Diaphragm Optimum Method (HSDOM) created via computer analysis and provides a well-tuned, wide frequency response of up to 64kHz. The subwoofer’s dual-layer Aramid Fiber cone helps in reproducing low and mid-range frequencies.
The TS-J170C is a blend of tried and tested equipment along with a few touches of innovative technologies. The woofer now uses a new Injection Molding Carbonized Cone and a high-efficiency square wire coil. These work together along with a redesigned crossover to create dynamic, strong, and soothing low-to-mid frequencies.
Easy To Install
To help the customers and dealers, Pioneer is bundling the new speakers with multi-fit adapters, connectors, and installation accessories for the tweeter. The kit consists of various mounting options and connectors available in Asia, American, and Continental cars. And hence, drivers anywhere in the location can have the option to install these speakers. Drivers can also refer to the fitment and guidance on speaker installation using Pioneer’s CarSoundFit app, which is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
