Records set by the Pininfarina Battista

The carmaker used VBOX data systems to validate the records. The first record was the 1/4 mile record set at a blistering time of 8.55 seconds. Then, the Battista went on to shatter the ½ mile record and set a time of 13.38 seconds. With this, Automobili Pininfarina’s Battista has become the fastest production car in the world. Further, the car beat Rimac Nevera’s time of 8.58 seconds which was set back in 2021. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyre was used for the acceleration tests.

After breaking these records, the Battista went on to shatter some more speed records. These included the top speed runs which set a time of 358.03 kmh. The previous record at the Natrax stood at 332 km/h.

The car was shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres for the top speed test and the brand wants these records to showcase the potential of the all-electric car. Both tyres can be ordered with the car by new owners.

The Italian brand’s Performance, Test and Validation Team including Development Driver Stefano Costa was also present at the track along with the officials of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the Indian sporting body affiliated to the FIA. The team was present to validate these records.
