Ola has hiked the prices of the S1 Pro Gen 3 electric scooter for the first time. The new price hike has made the Gen 3 model dearer by up to Rs 15,000 depending on the variant chosen. See the new price details below.

Ola S1 Pro Gen 3 new price details

Ola launched the new Gen 3 model of the S1 Pro e-scooter a few days ago. However, quickly after the launch, Ola has now hiked the prices of the scooter, thus, ending the introductory prices. The new price hike is for both variants – a 3 kWh battery and a 4 kWh battery pack.

Customers buying the 3 kWh battery pack option will now have to shell out Rs 15,000 more than the introductory price. The old price was Rs 1.15 lakh, which has now increased to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the bigger 4 kWh battery pack is now dearer by Rs 10,000 than the outgoing price. This has made it cost Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), as opposed to Rs 1.35 lakh earlier.

Speaking of the powertrain options, the 3 kWh battery pack offers an IDC-claimed range of 176 km on a full charge. It is mated to an 11 kW electric motor that produces 14.75 bhp of peak power. This variant has a top speed of 117 km/h and it can do 0-40 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.

The 4 kWh battery pack also uses the same 11 kW electric motor but it offers more range of up to 242 km as per IDC-claimed. While its 0-40 km/h performance is identical to the 3 kWh battery variant, the top speed is higher at 125 km/h.

The new Gen 3 model comes equipped with advanced features like four riding modes – Hyper, Sport, Eco, and Normal. It also gets the latest UI for the TFT console and keyless features like Geofencing and more. Ola offers disc brakes on both ends as standard on the Gen 3, along with a dual-channel ABS.

Our verdict

The Ola S1 Pro series has been a great success for the company to establish itself in the tough EV two-wheeler segment. However, the long-range and quick performance of Ola scooters is being loved by customers pan India. The new Gen 3 model is a step ahead in terms of advancement and smartness of the e-scooter.
