Nissan has unveiled a new concept van. The Hyper Tourer Concept is the preview of the next-generation, tech-loaded luxury minivan. Additionally, the Hyper Tourer Concept will come with features like fully-autonomous driving, vehicle to everything (V2X) tech, solid state batteries with high density and more.

Nissan Hyper Tourer Concept : More Details

From the outside, we can notice the van’s aerodynamically optimised exterior design. The Nissan Hyper Tourer comes with flat side panels, sharp character lines and sculpted bumpers on both ends. Meanwhile, Nissan has also incorporated the use of channels in the body to better manage airflow, while the wheels have been designed to minimise drag. Additionally, the van lacks wing mirrors, which further aid in the aero.

On the inside, the van comes with a luxurious layout. Nissan has used a theme based on the essence of omotenashi, which is nothing but the Japanese hospitality. The interiors of the Nissan Hyper Tourer have also been designed keeping in mind the long distance travel.

Features of the Nissan Hyper Tourer

One of the key features of the luxurious van is the swivelling seats. The 360-degree swivel seats allow the front and rear passengers to face each other. This can be done when the car is being autonomously driven. Rear seat passengers will also get a virtual reality headset that will allow the infotainment operation located at the front of the van.

Nissan has also used the AI technology to monitor passenger health amongst others.
Thus, the heart rate, breathing and perspiration will be monitored which will allow the van to choose ambient lighting and music as per the health readings.

The Nissan Hyper Tourer also boasts of V2X technology. This means, electricity can be supplied to others from the vehicle. Thus, the solid state battery can power homes, offices and while on the move. This could be helpful when there is a power outage as well.

Nissan Hyper Tourer Battery

While more details are awaited, the Japanese carmaker has ensured a battery packaging that maximises interior space and additionally keeps the overall centre of gravity of the vehicle low. This ensures smoother acceleration and braking.
