2023 Nissan Magnite AMT Review

Nissan has launched the Magnite AMT in India. The SUV now offers an automatic transmission option on both its engine options. The introduction of an AMT gearbox will broaden the scope of appeal of the Magnite to its customers . Let us take a look at the review of the car.

Called as the Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift AMT, the prices for this automatic SUV start from INR 6,49,900.  However, do note that these are introductory prices valid till 10 November 2023. Interested Magnite customers now have two automatic choices on the SUV. The 1.0-litre NA petrol with AMT or the 1.0-litre turbo petrol with CVT. The 2023 Nissan Magnite AMT is available in XE, XL, XV and XV Premium variants. It is also available in the recently launched Kuro Edition.

Nissan has also launched a new Blue and Black exterior paint shade on the Magnite AMT. Overall, the AMT variant comes with similar features as the regular car as it is available in all the top variants.

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition : More Details

The Kuro Edition celebrated Nissan’s partnership with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. For starters, the Nissan Magnite Kuro special edition gets all-black styling on the outside. The car gets a black grille, skid plate, roof rails and black alloys. In fact, even the headlamps get black finishers and there are special badges as well.

On the inside, the black theme continues as well. Nissan offers a gloss black instrument panel, black interior elements and black door inserts. Some of the features include rear AC vents, centre armrest, a wider IRVM, wireless charger, floor mats, 360-degree camera and more.

Powertrain of the Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift

The Magnite AMT comes with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This motor develops 71 BHP and 96 Nm. The engine is mated with a 5-speed automated manual transmission. The main highlight here is the AMT box. Nissan says it features an anti-stall and kick-down along with a creep mode. The creep mode allows the car to move slowly without any accelerator input by just releasing the brakes. Meanwhile, safety features like Vehicle Dynamic Control and Hill Start Assist is standard on the AMT variants of the Magnite.

Furthermore, the ARAI rated fuel economy of this SUV in an AMT guise is 19.70 km/l. Meanwhile, the regular manual variant has a rating of 19.35 km/l.
