Nissan has started production of the new Kicks SUV in India. The Kicks will be a rival to the likes of Hyundai Creta, and will be launched soon. The Kicks has now rolled out of the Chennai plant and will be launched in January 2019. This is a much awaited launch from Nissan, as the brand has had no new product for a few years now.
The Nissan Kicks for India is different compared to what we see in International markets.
Based on the GRAPHENE architecture, Graphene stands for Gravity-philic Energy Absorption, the new Kicks is expected to be safer. Crash test reports will reveal more in the months to come. The SUV does look good, good enough to rival the Hyundai Creta. To be sold as an Urban SUV, the Kicks is surely more premium than the Terrano.
However, Nissan has to price it right, and not get optimistic by asking more than the Terrano, which is now a sales dud.
