MG Mid-Size SUV
MG has not officially revealed the name of the upcoming mid-size SUV. But speculation is that the brand is planning to launch the petrol version of the MG ZS EV. The MG ZS EV is an all-electric crossover SUV, but the MG ZS Petrol will come with similar exterior and interior styling but a petrol powertrain. MG is likely to position the MG ZS Petrol below the 2021 MG Hector.
MG ZS Petrol – Powertrain
In the international market, the MG ZS Petrol comes with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The TGDi motor makes 111 HP of power and 160 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Another option is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 106 PS of power and 141 Nm of torque. In the recent past, speculations were that MG would name the new mid-size SUV the MG Astor. The brand has also filed a trademark for the name in the Indian market.
