Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced today that its best-selling SUV, the new Hyundai Creta, has received over 1 lakh bookings in just 3 months since its launch in January of this year. This goes to show the popularity of the Creta in the compact SUV segment is still unbeaten.

The new Hyundai Creta, launched in January 2024, has been admired by customers for its cutting-edge technology, segment-defining safety, good performance, and benchmark-creating comfort and convenience features. The SUV, inspired by Hyundai’s Global Design Language of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’, boasts a bold design aimed at catering to tech-savvy customers.
The new Hyundai Creta features an advanced Level 2 ADAS safety suite and a 1.5-liter Turbo GDI engine. Interestingly, variants featuring sunroof options account for 71% of the total bookings, while connected car variants contribute to 52% of the overall bookings.
The Creta also comes with multiple engine and transmission options including diesel engines. This give consumers a choice to choose the combination that suits them the best.
On a side note, in a first for the industry, Hyundai has challenged the status quo by featuring a female brand ambassador for an SUV in India. This move is seen as a testament to the brand’s progressive approach and its commitment to challenging conventions.
