The 2023 KTM 200 Duke has been officially launched in India. After numerous instances of being spied on, finally it is here. One of the key updates is the addition of a full-LED headlamp. This is the same as the setup found on the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke models. Interestingly, the price has increased by approximately INR 3,000. Thus bringing the bike’s cost to INR 1.96 lahks (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Other Features Remain The Same
The remaining features of the 200 Duke remain unchanged. It retains its sleek and sharp bodywork, giving it a distinctly sporty appearance. The bold design elements, such as the edgy fuel tank section and pointed tail, stand out with the exposed trellis frame. Adding to its visual appeal, the bike is available in two attention-grabbing colour options – Electronic Orange and Dark Silver Metallic.
Mechanical Highlights Of The KTM Duke 200
Under the hood, the 200 Duke is powered by a high-revving 199.5 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that generates a robust output of 24.67 BHP and 19.2Nm of peak torque. The transmission is managed by a six-speed gearbox paired with a conventional clutch system. In terms of hardware, the bike features 17-inch alloy wheels, supported by upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, both sourced from WP. Stopping power comes from single discs at both ends, equipped with ByBre calipers. The motorcycle also comes with dual-channel ABS, disabled for the rear wheel.
KTM Duke 200 And Its Rivals
In the segment of displacement, the KTM 200 Duke competes against rivals such as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, and Bajaj Pulsar NS200. Duke 200 has always been a top performer for KTM India. In fact, it was the first motorcycle which KTM brought in for the Indian market. With the updated model, KTM will aim to reach new high and further boost its sales.
