MY23 Kawasaki KX250 launched at INR 7,99,000

India Kawasaki Motors has officially announced the launch of the 2023 KX250. For the Indian market, the motorcycle will retail at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 7.99 lakh. This track-only motorcycle is only available in Lime Green colour only. Moreover, the KX250 will arrive at our shores via the completely built-up route as a fully imported product.

Key Changes In The 2023 Update

For 2023, Kawasaki has made significant technical changes to this motorcycle. The company now claims that the updated 249cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine delivers improved performance across the rev range. In fact, it is said that this is the most powerful KX250 developed to date. Further, this motorcycle also gets new gearing and a revised suspension setup. The inclusion of a new set of tyres will aid to offer improved handling when cornering. Other changes to this Kawasaki KX240 include lighter and wider footpegs, longer exhaust header pipe, and advanced ignition timing.

Then, there are the motor benefits like finger-follower valve actuation, revised processing for the throats of intake and exhaust ports, higher rate for valve spring to match a higher rev limit, flatter piston crown, updated combustion chamber design, reworked crankcase design, and a hydraulic clutch. The Kawasaki KX250 also benefits from the launch control mode and three engine map choices.

The hardware on the KX250 comprises an aluminium perimeter frame and a petal disc brake. Other setups include Renthal aluminium Fatbar, Kawasaki’s ERGO FIT adjustable handle and footpeg positions, and slimmer shrouds.

Bookings, Price And Delivery Timeline

Kawasaki has confirmed that the bookings for this motorcycle are now open. The deliveries will most likely start in the second week of November 2022. The KX250 MY23 will retail at INR 7,99,000 (Ex-Showroom). Kawasaki confirmed that customers could check the motorcycle’s estimated on-road price on the website’s on-road price estimator tab.
