Written by Kanad Kalasur

Benelli has showcased its new naked roadster motorcycle – the Tornado Naked Twin 500, at the ongoing EICMA Show in Milan, Italy. The middleweight bike shared the engine with the Leoncino 500, the TRK 502 and the 502C range.

Design of the Benelli Tornado Naked Twin 500

Benelli has adopted a funky design theme for the bike. The Tornado Naked Twin 500 gets a vertically oriented twin-pod headlight with a T-shaped DRL at the top. It receives a body-coloured fender, radiator shrouds, a 14-litre fuel tank, split seats and an underbelly exhaust.

The bike gets a very aggressive face in terms of the head-on view. Benelli has said that this will be the design language from now on for its future motorcycles. We can say that this look will make the bikes stand out in the crowds.

The remaining portion of the bike gets a typical setup. This includes 50 mm telescopic front forks paired with a rear mono-shock. The mono-shock is adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping. Braking duties are handled by twin 320 mm discs at the front and a single 260 mm rotor at the back. Benelli has given the bike 17-inch alloys that are shod in 120/70-section front and 160/60-section rear tyres.
