MY23 Hyundai i20 facelift spotted testing

We know that the Hyundai i20 facelift made its global debut in May 2023. It comes with revised styling and more equipment. Interestingly enough, the facelifted i20 has now been spotted testing in India. And we could get some of the details on the test mule that are prominent.

Hyundai i20 Facelift Key Changes

When it made its global debut, the facelifted i20 equipped a new pentagram-styled 16- and 17-inch wheel design. However, the i20 facelift seen in the spy shots features a different wheel design when compared to the international model. However, it is also not the one offered on the India-spec i20 and i20 N Line currently.

Already under heavy cover, we see that the bumpers on the i20 facelift benefit from a new design with cuts and creases. We also get to see reworked headlamps and tail-light. We know that the i20 facelift revealed for international markets did not feature any major interior changes. Apart from the addition of ambient lights, thus, that could be the case for the India launch too.

Hyundai i20 Facelift ADAS Features

Apart from styling tweaks, Hyundai has added ADAS features to the i20 facelift abroad. These include forward collision-avoidance assist, blind spot collision-avoidance assist, lane following assist and more. These systems are now making their presence felt in the Indian market of late. But till now, there is no news on whether the i20 facelift for India would come equipped with them. However, the Creta facelift, on the other hand, will most likely go on sale next year with ADAS tech.

Hyundai i20 Facelift Mechanical Highlights

The Hyundai i20 comes with two engine options. These are, namely, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre direct injection turbo-petrol engine. These engines are mated to either a five-speed manual, a CVT automatic, an iMT or a DCT automatic, depending on the engine. We Hyundai to continue with both engine options on the facelifted model.
