Maruti Suzuki has announced that pre-bookings for the next generation of their successful MPV, Ertiga, are now open. The MPV will get a new design, powertrain and features. Customers can now book the MY22 Ertiga at any Maruti Suzuki ARENA showrooms across the country or by visiting the manufacturer’s website. Interested customers can pre-book the MY22 Ertiga for an initial payment of INR 11,000. Expect the launch in the coming weeks, with deliveries beginning soon after.
MY22 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga – What’s new?
Maruti Suzuki has not completely unveiled the vehicle yet. Therefore, the changes made to the design are not currently known. However, the company has released a teaser image of the car that gives us a glimpse of what is to come. As seen from the teaser image, a new colour option could be available on the new Ertiga. The brand is also likely to offer a new design for the MPVs grille along with the Suzuki logo in the middle.
MY22 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga – Powertrain Highlights
The powertrain will also get an update, and the brand revealed that the Ertiga will now use the next generation K-Series engine. The 1.5-litre Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine. Additionally, the engine will also come with Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology. The motor comes with a new 6-speed automatic transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifters for more driver engagement. With the new engine, the manufacturer claims improved fuel efficiency and enhanced refinement. While Maruti Suzuki may not offer a diesel engine option, the brand will offer more choice to the customers, thanks to the MY22 Ertiga S-CNG, which will now be available in the ZXI trim level as well.

The MY22 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will feature advanced connected car technology with ‘Suzuki Connect’. Also new will be a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system. The brand is also likely to make changes to the seat upholstery for the new model year. Maruti Suzuki will reveal more details on the interiors and features in the near future.
