Kawasaki MY22 Z650RS makes its official debut in India at the India Bike Week 2021. This motorcycle comes with two colour options, Metallic Moondust Gray and Candy Emerald Green. Kawasaki has also confirmed the pricing of the bike, which starts at INR 6,65,000 (ex-showroom). For your reference, this is INR 41,000, costlier than Z650 and INR 4,000 more than the Ninja 650. The motorcycle that comes close to competing against the Z650RS is the Triumph Trident 660, which has a sticker price of INR 6.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). Deliveries will most likely start from this month. Customers wanting to get a detailed price break-up, including the on-road price, can visit Kawasaki India’s official website.

Engine And Powertrain

Kawasaki is using the 649cc parallel-twin engine matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The performance output figure stands at 68 BHP of power and 64 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is now more responsive, as Kawasaki claims that they have tweaked the engine a bit. The chassis is the same trellis frame that gets the support of a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear and a 41mm telescopic fork at the front. The braking setup consists of twin 300mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear.

Z650RS – Should You Buy One?

Given the rise in demand for retro-style motorcycles, Kawasaki’s Z650RS is a perfect choice. The motorcycle is quite competent in the performance department. And for the design, which is a subject matter, but we are sure the maximum of the customers will vote in for the Kawasaki Z650RS. At the very first glance, the motorcycle will remind you of the Z900RS. The use of a smart-looking round LED headlight that neatly holds the twin-pod instrumentation looks quite striking.

The multiple spoke wheel perfectly resonates with the retro outlook of the motorcycle. In fact, customers even have the freedom to choose the shade of the spoke. The Metallic Moondust Gray shade gets black spoke wheels. Meanwhile, The Candy Emerald Green colour option gets golden finish spokes.
