MY22 Kawasaki Vulcan S launched at INR 6,10,000

Kawasaki has launched the MY2022 Vulcan S in the Indian market, priced at INR 6.10 lakh ex-showroom. The Kawasaki Vulcan S strengthens the brand’s cruiser portfolio and now competes directly with the Benelli 502C. For the MY2022 update, Kawasaki has launched a new METALLIC MATTE GRAPHENE STEEL GRAY colour option. The brand also announced that the cruiser motorcycle is available for order at all Kawasaki dealerships in India. The bike can also be ordered online using the brand’s official website. Also, the official Kawasaki-India website allows the customers to check the on-road price of the motorcycle.

MY2022 Vulcan S – Design & Styling

The MY2022 Kawasaki Vulcan S comes with the same timeless American cruiser design with new colours. The bike features an oblong headlamp with a body-coloured headlight shroud. The motorcycle also gets a pod-style analogue-digital instruments cluster and a tear-drop shape fuel tank. Also complementing the design are radiator shrouds that come with the same colour and graphics. On the side, the exposed frame offers a chunky design showcasing the robustness of the cruiser. The rear of the Vulcan S features a rounded tail section with chunky grabrails integrated into the fender design.

MY2022 Vulcan S – New Colour

Kawasaki also offers a black finish exhaust pipe cover and a low-slung under belly tailpipe design. The colour theme comes with a Matte metallic theme with grey graphics and green accents. The engine on the motorcycle is finished in black, accented by a machine finish on the cylinder heads. The bike also comes with green rim tape on the chunky 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels.

MY2022 Vulcan S – Engine Specifications

Powering the Vulcan is the tried and tested 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The BS6 compliant engine produces 61 PS of power and 62.4 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed return type gearbox. The DOHC fuel-injected engine also does duty on other Kawasaki middleweight motorcycles such as the Ninja 650, Versys 650 and the Z650 in the Indian market.

MY2022 Vulcan S – Mechanical Specifications

Underpinning the Vulcan S is a high-tensile steel perimeter chassis that rides on 41mm conventional telescopic front suspension and offset laydown rear mono-shock. Stopping power comes from a 300mm single disc on the front and a single 250mm disc on the rear. The motorcycle rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. 

MY2022 Vulcan S – Ergonomics

The Kawasaki Vulcan S comes with relaxed styling with a feet-forward design. The brand offers a scooped front seat and a robust seat for the pillion. The motorcycle also comes with the added functionality of an ERGO-FIT sizing system that allows the user to set up the handlebar, seat and footpegs according to the desired comfort.
