MY22 Harley-Davidson CVO cruisers revealed

American Motorcycle manufacturer Harley Davidson has announced the launch of its new 2022 Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) range of cruisers. With limited-production and exclusivity, the 2022 CVO range includes the Road Glide Limited, Street Glide, Road Glide, and Tri Glide. For the new super-premium motorcycles, Harley Davidson has implemented new design and craftsmanship details which include exclusive paint colours. The company has equipped all four cruisers with its signature Milwaukee-Eight 117 High-Performance engine along with multiple technology-based features.

2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Cruisers: Powertrain Details 

The new Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine featured on all four CVO models features Pushrod-operated overhead valves with hydraulic, self-adjusting lifters. With four valves per cylinder, the engine produces 106 PS and 171 Nm in the CVO Road Glide and Street Glide. While the Road Glide Limited’s powertrain produces 105 PS and 169 Nm, the Tri Glide’s produces 107 PS and 170 Nm.

Harley-Davidson has also equipped the motorcycles with a High-performance intake that enables enhanced airflow for boosting the engine’s performance. Additionally, all motorcycles get a High-performance exhaust that has been tuned to maximise engine performance while maintaining 50-state regulatory compliance. All four cruisers also get Harley-Davidson’s 6-speed manual gearbox with Cruise Drive with a 10-plate, wet Assist and Slip clutch.

2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Cruisers: Technological and Safety Features 

A running theme across all four motorcycles is the extensive use of technology which aids the rider and provides convenience. The Cornering Riding Safety Enhancements provides chassis control, electronic brake control and manages powertrain technology on all four cruisers. These elements include Cornering Enhanced Electronic Linked Braking (C-ELB), Cornering Enhanced Anti-Lock Braking System (C-ABS), and Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS).

Additionally, the system includes Cornering Enhanced Traction Control System (C-TCS), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The CVO-badged motorcycles also sport other standard features such as Rockford Fosgate audio systems and wireless headset technology. The feature list also includes the Daymaker Adaptive LED lighting system with Patented sensors and electronics integrated into the headlamp.

2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide: Highlights 

The super-premium hot ride motorcycle features all-new decorative insert finishes and scorched chrome powertrain covers (with Blue Steel paint option). The 2022 CVO Street Glide features Kahuna Collection shifter pegs, brake pedal cover, muffler end caps, rider and passenger pegs. Additionally, the motorcycle also gets Fugitive custom wheels with gloss black and contrast chrome depending on the paint option.

Along with a Blue Steel and contrast scorched chrome finish, the bike gets a Low-profile console with CVO light. The bike gets a Hightail Yellow Pearl/Black Hole colour scheme with Lightning Silver Two-Tone and Bright Chrome finishes. The second colour option includes the Envious Green with Black Hole Fade with Flame Pattern, and Gloss Black finishes. Finally, the brand offers the bike with a Blue Steel solid colour and Scorched Chrome finishes.

2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide: Highlights 

Similarly to the 2022 CVO Street Glide, the new Road Glide gets exclusive 21-inch front wheels with 18-inch rear wheels. The new design elements include the Fang Front Spoiler, Screamin’ Eagle Heavy Breather intake, and retuned suspension for improved handling. The CVO Road Glide gets the same new paint options and Kahuna Collection hand grips as the CVO Street Glide.

2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Limited: Highlights 

The new CVO Road Glide Limited sports new decorative insert finishes and splitstream venting to limit head buffeting while riding. To complement the luxury, long-haul cruiser, Harley-Davidson has equipped it with a Heated seat with dual-zone rider/passenger control. The bike features Dante’s Red colour scheme with Dante’s Black Sunglo Fade Flame Pattern and Gloss Black finishes. Additionally, the bike also gets a Wicked Orange Pearl/Black Hole colour scheme with Lightning Silver Two-Tone and Bright Chrome finishes.

2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Tri Glide: Highlights

The new CVO Tri-Glide features Tomahawk Contrast Cut cast aluminium wheels front and rear wheels for cohesive styling. However, Harley-Davidson also offers identical features from its CVO Road Glide Limited onto the new CVO Tri Glide. These include Heated Kahuna Collection equipment, Heated Seat with dual-zone rider/passenger control and the LED lighting system. The bike gets a new Dante’s Red colour scheme with Dante’s Black Sunglo Fade Flame Pattern and Bright Chrome finishes.
