MV Agusta reveals 921 S cafe racer concept

MV Agusta has showcased a new cafe racer concept. The 921 S looks very appealing and many motorcycling enthusiasts would be waiting for the launch of this bike.

Design of the MV Agusta 921 S

The 921 S has been inspired from the 1973 MV Agusta 750S. This cafe racer brings the classic to the modern 21st century. The design and development of this bike started last year.

The bike gets a welded tubular steel trellis frame. The engine is cradled inside this. The frame gets aluminium alloy side plates that are attached to the large swing arm.

Classy air intakes are located on the sides of the fuel tank. These supply air to the custom throttle and injectors, made specifically for the engine of the 921 S.

The bike gets a 4.5-inch touchscreen display that is mounted on the fuel tank. This ensures that the clip-on handlebars are visible giving the bike a very aesthetic design. Like most MV Agusta bikes, this one is no different. Apart from the technology, the bike maker has ensured that the 921 S is a looker.

The 921 S gets LED lights at the back with an MV Agusta logo. The bike also gets four low-slung exhaust ports that sit underneath the engine.

While still a concept, MV Agusta CEO Timur Sardarov has confirmed that this bike will see the light of the day in mid 2024.

Engine of the MV Agusta 921 S

As the name implies, the bike gets a 921 cc inline-four engine that is good for 115.5 BHP and 116.6 Nm of peak torque. The engine gets new camshaft profiles, which are claimed to improve the throttle response. It also gets a countershaft to reduce the vibrations of the engine. Despite being a concept, the engine is said to meet Euro5 norms, which means that there could be a possibility of a production version of this motorcycle.

Features of the MV Agusta 921 S

The front of the bike gets Ohlins upside down suspension that is electronically adjustable. The rear gets a mono shock absorber that has adjustable preload and rebound. The wheels are 17-inch aluminium alloy units with carbon fibre covers.

Braking duties are handled by dual 320 mm discs with four-piston callipers at the front and a single 220 mm disc with dual-piston callipers at the back.

Other electronic features include cruise-control, GPS, launch control, traction control and four rider modes. However, there have been no details about the system.

The 921 S has a dry weight of 205 kg and MV claims that the engine can propel the bike to a top speed of over 218 km/h.
