MV Agusta reveals Turismo Veloce RC limited to 300 units

Along with the F3 800 and Dragster SCS, MV Agusta has also added some Italian flair to its sport-touring model, the Turismo Veloce. Like the Reparto Corse edition of the Dragster SCS, the Turismo Veloce RC SCS will be limited to 300 units. MV Agusta will number all the models and will also give a certificate confirming their authenticity. Unlike the RC editions of the F3 800 and the Dragster SCS, the Turismo Veloce gets no mechanical updates. Even though the sport tourer prioritises long-distance comfort, it can still handle going out on a race track.

MV Agusta Turismo Veloce RC SCS – Highlights

Like the others in the RC range, the sport touring bike stands out for its Italian tricolour livery and the RC initials. A larger adjustable windscreen also offers better wind protection. The Turismo Veloce RC SCS comes with 34-litre side panniers on both sides as standard. On the electronics front, the bike gets a Front Lift Control (FCS), traction control, and a more efficient inertial platform. Meanwhile, adding to the long-distance comfort are features like Cruise Control, heated grips and a 5.5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster with integrated Bluetooth and GPS.

It also uses the same 798cc triple-cylinder engine as the other two RCs. However, it has a lower compression ratio of 12.3:1. Furthermore, it is also a lot down on power. The Turismo Veloce RC SCS makes 110 HP at 11,000 rpm and 84 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. MV Agusta has equipped the bike with its Smart Clutch System 2.0 and the MV EAS 3.0. Thus, you can ride the bike without having to use the clutch while taking off or while changing gears. Even with its 199 kg dry weight, it accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.75 seconds. Meanwhile, the 0 to 200 kmph time stands at flat 15 seconds. The top speed of the sport tourer is 230 kmph.

As for the suspension, it uses 43 mm Sachs semi-active upside-down forks at the front. The rear gets a progressive Sachs semi-active shock absorber. The rear also gets a hydraulic spring preload adjuster. Both ends also feature MV Chassis Stability Control (MVCSC). As for the brakes, the front uses twin 320 mm discs with 4-piston Brembo radial-type callipers and a 220 mm disc at the rear with a 2-piston Brembo calliper.
