Moto Morini to debut in India soon with 4 products

Written by Rohit Tonapi

Iconic Italian motorcycle brand, Moto Morini, will soon make its debut in the Indian market. The brand announced that it will partner with Adishwar Auto Ride Pvt. Ltd. (AARI) for its Indian journey. The company currently also sells Benelli and Keeway products in India.

Moto Morini has 85 years’ worth of rich heritage and racing pedigree and is known for its lightweight, fast race bikes through the 1950s and 1960s. The current models by the brand inherit the same DNA. Born in Italy, the brand currently has 119+ touchpoints across the European markets.

Moto Morini mentioned that it will introduce an exciting portfolio of four products for the Indian market. The company will also have an extensive dealer network across the country. This will further expand the reach of the brand in the country. Furthermore, it will also allow customers to experience its product offerings.

Moto Morini – Expected Models

The brand announced it will bring four products to the Indian market. However, there is no confirmation of what these products will be. In Europe, Moto Morini currently has two models in its lineup – X-Cape and Seiemmezzo. The former is an adventure touring motorcycle, while the latter is a street motorcycle.

Since India is witnessing an increased demand for adventure motorcycles, one of the four products will likely be the X-Cape. If the brand decides to bring the X-Cape, it will add an Italian flair to the middle-weight adventure motorcycle segment. On paper, the X-Cape has what it takes to succeed in the segment. It comes with a 649cc L-Twin engine with 60 HP and 56 Nm of torque. The X-Cape also gets off-road-focused tyres and suspension. However, the pricing will ultimately be the final deciding factor for many.

On the other hand, the Seiemmezzo is available in two versions – STR and SCR. The former is a street-focused model, while the latter is a scrambler. Like the X-Cape, both these versions of the Seiemmezzo are great on paper. The pricing will make or break the product. Powering the Seiemmezzo is a 649cc inline-twin with 60 HP and 54 Nm of torque.
