MG Motor India has released its retail sales report for the month of February 2023. The sales figure stood at 4,193 units. The carmaker mentioned that bookings for the Next-Gen Hector are going good, however, the supply situation of select variants is still impacted. The car maker is also ramping up the production of the Gloster SUV to cater to the increasing demand of this segment.
Production of the all-electric ZS EV is also being ramped up. To promote electrification, and improve customer experience of electric car owners, MG Motor recently set up 12 DC fast chargers on the Delhi Jalandhar highway. The chargers were installed in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum.
MG Motor delivers 108 Hectors to Orix in one day
Thanks to the rising popularity of the leasing option, the company delivered 108 Hector SUVs to the car leasing corporation. Orix India is part of the larger Orix Corporation based out of Japan.
Additionally, MG is also involving itself in the leasing business. MG has always held great importance on its relationships with its customers. Hence, with an aim to always deliver on their highest expectations, MG has tied up with Orix.
For Orix, the addition of Hector and Hector Plus in its fleet means there are now more options for customers to choose from. After the pandemic, there has been a rise in the demand for such leased vehicles.
New MG Hector : More Details
MG Motors recently updated its popular Hector SUV. Launched back in January 2023, customers can have the Hector in a total of 5 variants with 5, 6 or 7-seater configurations. The SUV is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. In terms of pricing, the 5-seater Hector will cost the customer INR 14.72 lakh to INR 21.72 lakh, while, the 6-seater price ranges in the bracket of INR 20.14 lakh to INR 22.42 lakh. For the 7-seater Hector Plus, MG has set the price of INR 19.75 lakh to INR 22.42 lakh. All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom.
