The MG Hector has been launched in India with an introductory price of INR 12.18 lakh ex-showroom, India. The Hector is the British brand’s first car in India and comes with a plethora of connected features and is available in four variants with three engines to choose from including a mild hybrid petrol engine. The MG Hector comes with a 5-years/unlimited km warranty, 5-years/unlimited km roadside assistance and 5 labour-free services.
On the exterior, the MG Hector features a chrome-accented grille, LED headlights, LED DRL, LED taillamps, floating LED indicators, shark-fin antenna, chrome lined windows machine-finished alloy wheels and more.
The MG Hector come in five colour options:-
- Candy White
- Starry Black
- Aurora Silver
- Burgandy Red
- Glaze Red
On the interior, the Hector gets a 10.4-inch vertically oriented infotainment system, 7-inch coloured MID, fatigue reminder setting, leather seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, 8 ambient colour lighting, flat foldable second row seats, rain sensing wiper, powered tailgate, dual pane panoramic sunroof, cruise control, etc.
In terms of engine specifications, the MG Hector gets:-
Petrol
- 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine which produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque available in a manual gearbox as well as an automatic DCT (dual clutch transmission)
Petrol Mild Hybrid
- 1.5-litre turbocharged intercooled with belt starter generator that produces 143 PS of power and 25 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and comes with a 48V Mild-Hybrid system with a lithium-ion battery with regenerative braking capabilities, auto start/stop and 20 Nm E-Boost capabilities.
Diesel
- 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
