Good news if you are looking to buy an MG Astor anytime soon. The SUV is now available with much affordable EX trims. These variants miss out on some safety features, thus they retail at a much lower price. The Astor EX variant does not get features like ESC, traction control, hill hold control and hill descent control. Meanwhile, the Sharp EX trim does not get Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert features.
Just to mention, the MG Astor EX trims are only available with the 1.5-litre petrol engine with the 6-speed manual transmission. The introduction of these affordable variants will make Astor more desirable, thus attracting more customers to the showrooms. MG Astor – Brief Overview
The regular variants of Astor are available with 1.5-litre petrol with 8-speed CVT, and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre engine makes 110 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor produces 140 PS of power and 220 Nm of torque. The new attraction for MG Astor is its slew of features on offer. Carrying the tag of AI Inside, the Astor is feature-packed in every sense.
Leveraging the new Car-As-A-Platform, customers get features like Jio Saavn, Park+, MapMyIndia 4D maps, and Koinearth Vehicle Digital Passport for the SUV. On top of all these, Astor is also capable of ADAS level two. Other notable features include a voice-activated panoramic sunroof, Lane Departure Warning, six airbags, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Customers get an array of exterior colour options to choose from. This includes options like Spiced Orange, Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, Candy White, and Starry White. For the interior, customers can choose from Sangria Red, Iconic Ivory, and Tuxedo Black colour options.
