Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol priced starting at INR 8.39 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Maruti Suzuki commenced pre-launch bookings on the BS6 S-Cross Petrol a couple of weeks ago through the brand’s premium NEXA dealerships and is now available through both the sales channels, the NEXA dealership and the NEXA website.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol is offered in a single BS6 emission-compliant 1.5-litre petrol powertrain with the option of two gearboxes – a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. The SUV is offered in four trim variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, with the option of three trims on the automatic version as the entry-level Sigma trim is not available on the automatic variant.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is powered by a BS6 complaint K15B series 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine with smart hybrid technology that produces 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic gearbox.
The SUV comes with the next-generation dual battery Smart Hybrid technology with a Lithium-Ion battery pack and is in-line with the brand’s commitment to clean green vehicles. The mild-hybrid technology offers features such as idle start-stop, torque assists functions and brake energy regeneration for optimum performance.
The new K15B series BS6 compliant engine claims to offer superior Noise Vibrations Harshness (NVH) characteristics powered by a pendulum mount engine. The newly refined powertrain also claims improved cooling performance and a fuel economy of 18.55 km/l on the manual transmission and 18.43 km/l on the automatic transmission.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross BS6 Petrol also features highlights such as a 7-inch SmartPlay studio in-car infotainment system with cloud connectivity, live traffic updates, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, leather-clad dashboard, steering wheel and seats, rear parking camera and gear shift indicator, automatic projector LED headlamps, automatic rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, auto-retracting outside rearview mirror (ORVM), auto-dimming and antiglare inside rearview mirror (IRVM) etc.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol is compliant with advance safety norms including frontal offset crash, side-impact and pedestrian safety. The SUV also comes with safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, rear parking assist, high-speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat restraint system as standard across all variants.
